fābula is pleased to present a group show “A Midsummer’s Night Dream” at the Port Art Fair in St. Petersburg.

The White Nights, which the northern capital is famous for, served as the leitmotif of the exposition – all the works presented at the booth are united by a general atmosphere of dreaminess and belong to the genre often described as magical realism.

Sofia Benetti, an artist from Argentina, who recently became a resident of the gallery, will present a series of video works created with a 3D animation technique. Georgina Clapham, currently living and working between London and Los Angeles, will showcase work from the Wanderlust series, which she has been working on since 2018. This series is a reflection on the spirit of escapism that has come to define the generation that the artist belongs to, as well as longing for spirituality and the search for a new aesthetic.

Alexander Lemish is a multimedia artist living and working in Moscow. In his works he explores the reality around us through the prism of the phenomena of internet culture, social networks and horror aesthetics. Elena Minaeva, an artist from St. Petersburg, will present a new series of works, the main theme of which is human contact with extraterrestrial civilizations. The booth will also showcase collectible design pieces created by Geert Wessels in his workshop in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
