Fābula Gallery is pleased to present the group pop-up project “TAVERNWAVE”, which will feature works by eight contemporary artists from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Paris.

Tavernwave, also known as bardcore, is an internet phenomenon that emerged around remakes of popular songs in a medieval style and became popular in 2020. References to medieval aesthetics: the characteristic ornateness of forms and romantic symbolism are found here alongside naive, yet vivid images from popular culture. The works presented in the exhibition enter into a dialogue with the space of the bistro and bar “lado”.
