fābula is pleased to present the MEDIANATURES group pop-up project, developed specifically for the Outline festival 2025 with the participation of Polina Abina, Natasha Perova, Alyona Lipatova and Mikhail Maksimov. Each of the artists works with digital art in one way or another.

The concept of media cultures, based on the ideas of Donna Haraway, is a critical paradigm that rejects the traditional separation between nature and culture. In this context, nature and culture are considered as interrelated and interdependent systems in which each of them actively forms the other.

The connections that arise within the framework of media cultures emphasize that the materiality of the earth and technological practices do not exist in isolation, but in a constant dynamic of interaction. This interaction calls into question the traditional notions of nature as a static object and culture as a set of human practices. Instead, mediums focus on the process of co-formation, in which human and non-material agents participate in shaping reality.

Complex networks of interdependencies create the conditions for rethinking our place in a world where technology is becoming part of the natural order and nature is an integral part of the cultural context.
